The guide below will show you how to Add and Remove Timecode (TC) onto/from your media clips

Select the first of your merged and labelled clips

Double click to populate to the Source panel

In the Effects tab type Timecode

Drag the timecode effect onto the clip in the source panel

In the Effect Controls tab you can manipulate the settings of the timecode to your liking (position, size and opacity)

Make sure the timecode settings you create are clear and concise without covering the primary action which is taking place in each shot


These are a must:

format  SMPTE 

Timecode Source Media

Time Display 25

You can label your clips with camera 1, etc if you have multiple camera sources

Right click on the timecode effect and select Copy

Cmd + c for the short cut

Shift select the remainder of your merged and labelled clips

Right click on any of the selected clips and select Paste

You have now applied the same Timecode effect to all of your clips

They will all read the day of time Timecode as per the settings you created when setting up your camera

To quickly Remove Timecode - Select all of your merged and labelled clips

Right click and select Disable Masterclip Effects
