The AV studio is located in building 202, off the atrium between Mediterranean courtyard and the computer labs.

🧰  Equipment

The AV studio has 3 wall sized projectors, 1 floor directed projector, hanging rails, gallery lighting, coloured lights and a lighting truss. This room can be booked out for experimenting, test installs, filming or photography. Early in semester the AV studio is often available for ad-hock or shared use.

There are 3 iMacs in the hallway that are available for students to use 24/7.

The AV studio also has DSLR cameras, portable projectors, raspberry pi’s, arduinos etc, and other equipment which is available to be loaned by students, contact Carlie to discuss and arrange.

🦺 Safe Working Procedures

When working in the AV studio, and all workspaces, it's important to read the safe working procedure before using a piece of equipment. For example the ladder in the AV studio has a safe working procedure which you can find linked below and on the wall outside 119.

🐦 Hanging artworks from the Lighting Truss

You can experiment with installation and alternate modes of presenting 2d and 3d works using the lighting truss in the AV room. There are practical and safety limitations to what can be hung that need to be discussed with the technician before hanging.
