Jands 4Pak-D: Safe Working Procedure
Follow this procedure for the safe and correct use of the Jands 4PAK-D four channel controller/dimmer.
- Place the 4Pak-D on a flat stable surface. Ensure the area around all chassis vents in clear.
- Set all fader levels to zero.
- Plug lights into the four output sockets. The total and individual channel loadings should not exceed the specified maximum – check with the Production Coordinator before use.
- Fully uncoil the power lead and plug it in. The power plug needs to remain accessible during use.
- Switch on the front panel circuit breaker. Do not use the breaker to turn the unit on/off.
- Switch on the power at the wall.
- Operate the 4Pak-D following the methods in the User Guide.
- Follow usual safety procedures for working with lights and electrical devices.
- After use, switch off the power at the wall. Do not use the breaker to turn the unit on/off.
It is normal for the 4Pak-D to get hot during use, especially near the rear vent holes. Ensure the vent holes are not obstructed. The unit will shut down if it overheats.
