SPRO2004 - Adobe Podcast

Adobe Podcast is an online software to which you have an access using your Curtin Adobe Account. This software allows you to enhance your audio files, check your microphone and record your own podcasts.

The main page of this online software includes general information as well as three main features it offers.

 

 

Enhance Speech

This feature allows you to quickly and efficiently increase the quality of your audio files.

 

To start, sign into your Adobe Account using your Curtin credentials - student email and your password, and follow on-screen instructions.

 

Once you’re in, click on the Choose files button to upload your audio file.

 

Navigate to your desired file and after selecting it, click the Open button. The process of enhancing your audio will start automatically after uploading it.

 

The file has to be under 30 minutes long.

 

  1. Enhance - switch between enhanced and original version of your file.

  2. Play - allows you to preview the file. You can use enhance button while the preview is playing to hear the difference.

  3. Strength slider - adjust the % of the enhancing strength to fit your needs.

  4. Download - once happy with the outcome, click that button to download your file.

Uploaded and enhanced files get deleted after 7 days. Make sure to download the needed tracks within that time.

 

 

This feature allows you to check your microphone and provides advices on how to improve it’s performance.

 

To start, sign into your Adobe Account using your Curtin credentials - student email and your password, and follow on-screen instructions.

 

Once you’re logged in, click the Start button to proceed.

 

Click the Test mic button to start testing and after speaking for a bit, click the Stop test button to see the outcome.

 

  1. Advice Box - this will provide you with needed information on how to improve the performance of your microphone.

  2. Safe area - The outlined dotted space shows the area where you want your microphone to be at for best quality (Distance to microphone; Gain; Background noise; Echo).

  3. Good Outcome - your result is good.

  4. Bad Outcome - your result isn’t good enough, try to adjust your microphone for better performance.

 

 

This feature allows you to record your own podcast, invite guests, share it with people and customise it to your needs.

 

Click the Request access button to log in to your student Adobe Account. Use your Curtin credentials - student email and your password, and follow on-screen instructions.

 

 

Once you’re logged in, click the + New Project button to begin.

 

  1. Record - starts recording your voice. The recorded parts will show up with an automatic transcription of your words.

  2. Play - previews your recording.

  3. Mute - mutes your microphone.

 

You can Upload already existing audio files to include in your podcast.

 

You can add Music to your podcast.

 

You can add a Placeholder to come back to later depending on what you need.

 

You can Invite guests to partake in your podcast.

You have the option to Share this project with others so they can edit their own copy of your podcast.

Once you’re happy with the final product, click on the Download button to download the full sound file.
