Troubleshooting - Picture is on Shinobi Monitor but not on the FX30 Viewfinder

IMG_20240708_102923.jpg

If you are only seeing a picture on the Atomos Shinobi 5 monitor but not on the FX30, please follow the below steps to ensure that the external output is assigned correctly:

Go to MENU then Setup and External Output (11)

Ensure that HDMI Info. Display is set to off.

You should then notice your menu pop back up on the Sony FX30 monitor.

The FX30 has two output options:

The ideal option is for the menu to be seen on the FX30 viewfinder. The picture output will be sent to the Shinobi 5 monitor.

Alternatively, setting HDMI Info. Display to on will send the menu and picture to the Shinobi 5 monitor. This will however shut off ALL picture to the FX30 viewfinder.
