Start by following PrP - Creating New Sequence to learn how to create a sequence in Adobe Premiere Pro. Afterwards, follow the settings below, according to your choice of aspect ratio.

Technical Specs for iDoc assignment:

  1. Frame Size: 1920 x 1080 (16:9) OR 1080 x 1080 (9:16)

  2. Timebase: 30 frames/second

  3. Video Export Format: H.264

  4. Audio Export Format: AAC

  5. Length: No limit - best around 3 minutes

  6. File Size: Maximum 650MB

SEQUENCE SETTINGS

  1. Timebase: 30fps

  2. Frame Size:
    1920 X 1080 (vertical 16:9) - LANDSCAPE
    OR
    1080 X 1080 (vertical 1:1) - SQUARE

  3. Pixel Aspect Ratio: Square Pixels

  4. Fields: No fields

  5. Display format: 30fps timecode

  6. Color Space: Rec. 709

EXPORT SETTINGS

VIDEO:

  1. File Name: Follow the naming convention
    StudentID_FirstName_LastName_SPRO2004_A3

  2. Preset: Match Source - Adaptive High Bitrate (will change to Custom as you check some boxes)

  3. Frame Size:
    1920 x 1080 OR 1080 x 1080

  4. Frame Rate: 30fps

  5. Field Order: Progressive

  6. Aspect: Square Pixels

  7. Check “Render at Maximum Depth” and “Use Maximum Render Quality

  8. Target Bitrate: 30

If the video file size exceeds 650MB, lower the target bitrate.

High bitrate = better quality + larger the file

Small bitrate = smaller file size + lower quality

AUDIO:

  1. Audio Format: AAC

  2. Sample Rate: 48000 Hz
