Studio Media PC (referred to as the {DIR} - Directors PC

Located to the left of the Tricaster Long Panel video switcher.

This PC is for transferring student video files from Isilon and onto a Folder within the Tricaster for further transcoding into the DDR for playback.

These steps documented below will give you help in "How To".

The PC will first need to be logged into using your Student Id and password. From this point follow this guide.




First Open the File Explorer icon  to access the Network Drives. Located at bottom left of Taskbar on screen.

This then opens the File directory of the PC. Click on "This PC" first to display all the Drives. The 'Z' Drive for the ftv server (Isilon) is shown.

Locate your video File for ingesting into the Tricaster (TC-1)

Once located 'Copy' it to the PC's Desktop.

Then change the Directory within File Explorer to the 'X' Drive called 'Incoming'.

If you are presented with a required Login to access the Incoming folder then type - into1234 





'Double Click' on the SPRO2000 Folder to navigate to the  Day of your Class.

Create a folder for the Group that is associated with your Project.

Once your Folder is 'Open', Copy the File that you initially put to the Desktop, then Paste into your Project Folder".




This now places the Video file into Tricaster for now ingesting into the DDR for playback.

Repeat the procedures above to ingest each Clip that you want into the TC-1.

Once complete now go to the Primary Workstation of the TC-1 near the Vision Switcher.

Click on File within the Menu Bar (Top left of screen), Click on Import Media.


This then Opens a Pop Up Window shown below.

Click on the ADD Button at lower left of this Pop Up, this then opens another Window 



Still within this Window, Click on the Browse Tab at bottom left of Window.






You will now have access to the Folder Directory within the TC-1. Navigate to the video clip you

placed within the Class Project. Single Click on it to highlight the file. Then Click on 'Open' in this Window.






The video file is now placed within the TC-1 transcoder to make it ready for transcoding


To place the clip into the DDR for playback, Click on the Gear Icon next to 'Add Clips to'.

A drop down will then show a choice of which DDR the clip will be placed into once transcoded.







Click on the 'Import' button and the blue bar will progress from Left to Right

to show the transcoding occurring.





The Video Clip has now been imported into the TC-1 for playback

through DDR-2 for this example.
