How to 'Open' a Tricaster Session.

The main TV Studio Control Room in Building 208, Room 230

uses the Newtek Tricaster as the main Television Video Mixer.

The layout of all the screens are as shown below in the Control Room

The Tricaster or TC-1 Vision Switcher may be left in a standby state where the

 Primary Monitor (1) may display the image  as shown to the left;

This indicates that the Tricaster program is not operational.

Select the "Back to TC1" as shown to Launch the software.

Once the software is operational the screen to the left will be shown.

This shows all the installed Profiles on the TC1, before you commence.

Opening of a Session

Select the Profile that is for your Group, as if you do not, all the added media you may add or modify during the Session, will not be Saved to your Project, once you Exit the Session.

Select the 'Live' Tab, then Click on the Start Live Production Tab.

 This will now cause the software to 'Launch' your Session

The Profile Session that is in use is shown by 'hovering the mouse cursor' over the N (Newtek Logo) at the very top Left of the Primary monitor. This will then highlight the Session in use.

Check to see that this displays your known Session name, to ensure any changes made during your time using the TC1 will be saved upon Exit.

The Green Triangle shown at Left is to highlight the 'Back' Button, if you need to back out to change the Profile Session.

When your Session is complete 'Exit" out of it, to close down the software within the Tricaster switcher.

If you need to create graphics using the built in software called LiveText, then you need to click on the Graphics Tab, to start a New Project.
