Light - Aputure Lighting Modifiers

The MCASI Store has 2x Aputure Lighting modifiers that are compatible with the Nanlite Forza 300B II and Prolycht Orion 300 FS lights.

Aputure Light Dome II: This is a fantastic softbox style light modifier that is ideal for projecting an incredibly soft but focused light on your talent’s face. This can be used for interviews, dramatic scenes where you want a soft contrast ratio and for lighting products. There is also a gel holder available to colour this softbox. The Light Dome II kit will contain the softbox, 2x levels of scrim (diffuser) and a grid that helps beam the light more directly onto a particular area.

Aputure Lantern: The Lantern is a very handy modifer that can be essentially seen as an omni shaped soft box. This allows you to project soft, diffused light over a large area. This modifier is fantastic for replicating moonlight, lighting lots of people in one space with consistent lighting, chroma key lighting and product filming. This modifier can not be coloured. The Lantern kit will contain the lantern itself and 1x skirt for cutting light.

A compliance workshop MUST be undertaken by at least 2 students in your group to be able to use these modifiers. These are fragile items that require careful instruction to setup/pack away.

The Light Modifiers are available to all 2nd and 3rd year Screen Arts units.
