Adobe Premiere Rush

Take pro-quality video on your mobile devices with built-in camera functionality. Edit with simple tools for audio, motion graphics and more and share from the app to social channels like YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.

Adobe Premiere Rush is a mobile application that makes it quick and easy to edit footage that you have filmed on your mobile device.

You can access Premiere Rush through the Adobe Creative Cloud app store; follow the prompts on how to log into the Adobe Creative Cloud to install Adobe Premiere Rush onto your desktop or mobile device by clicking here.

NOTE: Premiere Rush is included in your Adobe Creative Cloud package.

When you open Rush, you will be prompted to create a new project / free existing project.

 

As a project, the first thing you need to do is import your footage.

You can either import straight from your device or from ‘Creative Cloud’ or ‘Dropbox’.

Select your location and select the clips you wish to import. This is also where you will title your project.

NOTE: It’s recommended to take advantage of the Creative Cloud Sync option. This will create a back up automatically to you Creative Cloud.

 

 

 

Click ‘Create’, and your clips will automatically be presented on a timeline.

Down the bottom, you will see your tools.

  1. Project Assets – This is where you will see all of the assets you have imported into your project

  2. Layer View – This will change your view. Selecting this will show you a detailed view of your layers.

  3. Aspect Ratio – This is where you can select the aspect ratio for your project

 

4. Titles – Here, you can create and customize titles for your video. You can choose from presets or select your own font, size spacing etc.

5. Transitions – There are 3 basic transitions (Cross Dissolve, Dip T\to Black, Dip to white) which can all have changeable lengths

6. Colour – This is where you’ll be able to colour grade. Again, there are plenty of presets to choose from, or you can edit yourself with many settings to play with (exposure, contrast, highlights, saturation, tint etc.)

7. Speed – Speed is for speeding up or slowing down a clip. Ideal if you have shot in slow motion.

8. Audio – There are quite a few extremely useful audio effects in here. You can mute and adjust volume as well as use effect like ‘Reduce Noise’ which will remove any light hums or white noise.

9. Transform – In transform, you can change the scale and crop of your picture.

Once you have final edit, you can export the video by selecting the share button in the top right.

Here you will be given a few export settings to chose from.

Once you select the one you need the video will export and will be available to upload.
