Sony FX30 - Timecode Setup with the Deity TC-1

Please click here for more information on how to setup the Deity TC-1 unit. You need to have the TC-1 setup and ready for syncing, before you can pursue the below steps with the Sony FX30.

TIMECODE ON THE FX30

The Deity TC-1 Timecode is mounted on the FX30

using the provided ‘Cold Shoe mount’ with the TC-1 in Camera bag.

 

 

 

 

The connector from the Deity TC-1 then plugs into the USB-C socket of the camera.

To do so ‘Open’ the door (as shown) to access the interface.

 

 

 

 

The Deity TC-1 Timecode is mounted on the FX30

using the provided ‘Cold Shoe mount’ with the TC-1 in Camera bag.

 

 

Go to MENU then Shooting > TC/UB

Setup this area of the camera as shown

Then plug in the USB-C connector to camera

 

 

With the TC-1 now plugged in to the FX30, with TC/UB setup correctly, you will see the EXT-LK (shown circled in Yellow to the Left).

This now indicates that the FX30 is Locked to the Timecode signal from the Deity TC-1
