Professional Cameras Available for Projects (Staff, Postgraduate Coursework & HDR Students)



Information Required for Usage of Professional Camera Equipment held in MCASI Store

For Staff, Postgraduate Coursework & HDR Students, a summary of the project is required, including details such as:

  • The reasoning for selecting the camera chosen for the project, please include both creative and technical aspects

  • Type of project (drama, documentary, etc.) and shooting environment (interior, exterior, etc.)

  • The intended destination of outcome/project

  • Technical specifications (if applicable) for deliverables

  • The Director of Photography for the research project and relevant experience

  • Data Management and Workflow plan, including both short term and long term storage

  • The Editor for the research project and relevant experience

  • Any other relevant details (including any grant documentation)

NOTE: If the use of equipment has been included on an internal or external grant, approval should have occurred prior to the submission of the grant.

Projects requiring Head of School Approval

Requests for equipment project usage to be approved by the School Business Manager (delegated from Head of School):

  1. Any overseas/international usage by staff or students

  2. Any requests by Curtin staff from other Schools (not MCASI)

  3. Any requests for usage at Curtin events

  4. Any other requests for usage not mentioned above

In the first instance, all requests must be directed through the Manager, Creative Production Support Unit.
