Essential Sound is a new functionality in Audition which allows you to explore and utilise some of the more common effects found in Audition without being destructive (non-destructive)

Destructive vs Non-Destructive

Destructive means you are physically changing the waveform information of an audio track when applying effects

Non-Destructive means the effects are layered on top of the audio and can be removed at anytime without effecting the original audio

Because they are non-destructive it means you can explore the effects in a friendly manner whilst exploring the app

Select clip (or multiple clips) from timeline and select audio type

If we make a change in the Essential Sound panel we are also making the changes in the Effects Rack

If we select the Effect from the Rack...

We have a lot more control over the effects parameters
