Sound: Why is this really loud/quiet?

Sound: Why is this really loud/quiet?

Problem

Sound is playing, but it is much louder or quieter than it was before.

Solution

  1. Check that the amps are turned to 100%.
  2. Check that the left and right faders (labelled L and R) and your input fader are at the correct level.
  3. Check that the output level on the laptop or MP3 player is correct.
  4. If the level in the theatre is normal, but it is loud/quiet in the bio box or dressing room, check that the show relay amps are at 100%, and the faders (labelled "bio" and "dress") are at the correct levels.
