Lighting: Why aren't my cues recording or playing back properly?

Problem

The lights can be controlled, but cues aren't recording or playing back properly.

Solution

  1. Press "clear" in the live view.
  2. If the cue list is open (for plotting or editing), is there a red flashing warning that you are playing a different cue from the cue selected, with a yellow box around the fixture chooser (shown below)? If so, press "Link" to link the cue output and selection together, so you are always seeing the cue that you're editing.
  3. If the lights operate normally for the most part, but periodically black out, check the USB dongle is plugged in and glowing red.
