Power-up procedure

  1. Turn on desk power at the wall
  2. Turn on front of house speakers with the IR remote


Power-down procedure

  1. Turn off front of house speakers
  2. Turn off desk and rack power at the wall


Desk info

  • Mute all unused channels


QLab Set up

How to Use the X32 (and QLab)

On:

GPO for the desk.

On switch for the back of desk.

GPO and On switches for amps.

To turn off just do this in the reverse order.


When Starting a New QLab file:

 

Open “New From Qlab” → X32 Base (this bypasses all the work).

 

Or if you want to do the work:

Click on the cog at the bottom right.

Click on Audio.

Audio Patch 2 → X-USB.


House Mic:

This mic also leads to the back-stage speaker.

CH1-16 CH01 (House Mic) →Unmute → Set fader to what you want.

MATRIX 1-6, MAIN C M/C → Unmute → Set fader to 0db.


Controlling the House Mic with QLab:

Click on the cog at the bottom right.

Click on OSC.

Patch 2 IP Adress: 169.254.245.78 → Port: 10023 (done)

OSC cue  Settings Destination: 2 (whatever you have named it).

Message Type: Custom OSC Message.

On: /ch/01/mix 1

Off: /ch/01/mix 0

(There is a PDF on the computer about controlling the X32 via OSC commands)


Main Left and Right Speakers:

AUX IN/USB, FX RETURNS  Aux 1 and Aux 2→ Unmute → Set faders to 0db.

Bring up Main fader to 0db.

You can control the levels in QLab faders 1 and 2.


Back Left and Right Speakers:

In QLab: Device and levels Cross Points →  3,1 = 0, 4,2 = 0 (these are the faders that control the back speakers).

AUX IN/USB, FX RETURNS  Aux 3 and Aux 4→ Unmute → Set faders to 0db.

BUS 1-8 Bus 1 → Unmute → Set fader to 0db.

MATRIX 1-6, MAIN C Mtx 1 → Unmute → Set fader to 0db (this fader works independently to the Main fader and is unaffected by it).
