Adobe Audition Audio Input Record.
The Voice Over Booth has been updated to have its own PC with Adobe Audition. This is so that you can record your voice over in a sound proof room
The procedure described below allows you to 'Record' your voice professionally using the Rode NT2 Voice Over Microphone with Pop filter within the Booth.
However you will need to 'route' the Microphone to the Sound Desk, for a more professional control of the 'recording' please see a MCASI Store specialist.

Channel #9 on the Yamaha mixer now allows you to set the Gain of the V/O Mic to get desired audio level. 18dB is good.This sets the audio signal for best recording to the Adobe Audition program.With Ch#9 On, it's also recommended to turn on Channel #11, marked "To VB".This allows the Audio Operator to talk directly to the person doing the Voice Over through the Headsets.This is done through the Riedel Comms panel just to the right of the Yamaha.The Channel fader does not have to be raised as the audio signal to the headsets is set as Pre-Fader. | |

These pictures identify the Riedel Comms panel and as described above, you are able to communicate directly to who is in the Voice Over booth using the button- VO Booth. | |
At this point ensure that the faders shown for REC IN are turned ON. | |
The Application for the Apollo through the Mac needs to be 'launched'. | The software - Universal Audio/ Console on the Mac as shown to the left, now needs to be launched.This allows the audio from the Mixer to connect to the Adobe Audition software. |
The Apollo /twin controller to the right of the Mixer allows control of the audio level 'digitally' to the Mac.The Preamp switch to the left of the Unit is pressed to show which Channel is selected Ch1 or Ch2, the INPUT button switches between MIC or LINELine needs to be the desired input If Mic is displayed press the INPUT button againThe Silver central knob needs to be turned anti clockwise so that the green Led dial is not displayed. To control the amount of audio level going to the Headsets from the Yamaha, first select the "SEL" button on the required input to the mixer that has the audio needed to be fed back to the Voice over headsets and using the PhonesL and PhonesR knobs, adjust until the right amount of audio gain is heard by the person wearing the headphones.Volume Level Please be careful when adjusting these levels as loud audio can lead to hearing loss | |

| When ready to record the desired source, ie VO Mic, Select the channel for it on the Mixer, then on the Central Logic touch panel, select the Matrix 17-24 TAB at the top left, locate the REC IN panel as shown to the left and then use the light Blue hardware knobs to adjust the audio incoming signal for recording. |
