PrP - Automatic Transcription (Speech to Text)
The speech to text function in Premiere Pro will automatically transcribe the content of your sequence.
In Premiere Pro go to your ‘Import’ mode at the top left of your interface.
Under the tab ‘Import settings' ensure ‘Automatic transcription’ is disabled, using the toggle.
Return to your ‘Edit’ mode.
Open the ‘Text’ panel:
Window > Text.
The ‘Text’ panel will open in your ‘Source Monitor' panel.
Click ‘Transcript’ on the top left.
Then, click the '…' on the top right.
Click ‘Generate static transcript…’
If you already automatically transcribed the source media to use text it will generate a warning.
Select ‘Transcribe’
It can take some time to create the transcription.
