Gobo lighting D-I-Y Plastic Images "Fergos"

ONLY the Pacific lights can project Fergos.

    • They can be printed by Steve on the TV studio workshop printer
    • Download the Photoshop template to create a 75 mm diameter gobo printed 6 per page.
    • Keep the artwork simple for clarity.
    • Fergos need to be protected with a UV filter between the fergo and the light source.
    • The plastic Fergos only last a few hours, with hot lights they fade.
    • Place the transparency in the Gobo holder and then place the holder in the front slot on the Pacific light.
    • Place a new UV filter in the rear slot of the Pacific light to protect them.
    • Don’t cut the gobo out to small they need to clamp into the holder.
    • Put the Fergo upside down for correct projection.
    • Run the lights at 80 % brightness to extend the Fergo life.
    • Have spare Fergos standing by in case they are needed.
    • Design and test all the lighting well before the studio recording day.

The Pacific lights and gel holders get HOT, be careful and use safety gloves
