Studio Lighting Dimmers

Jands dimmer control panel.

Provides simple control of individual dimmers and the ability to create scene masters and events.

To record a scene to a scene master.

  • First set up the scene on the channel faders
  • HOLD the red record button and press a button for the scene you want to use

The complete scene is now stored in that scene fader

The circuit breakers for each channel may need resetting after:

  • A lamp fails (blown globe)
  • A fader channel is overloaded,
  • There is a fault in the lamp or cabling (RCD protection)
  • Identify and fix the fault.
  • Reset the circuit breaker on the left side of each dimmer.

The Dimmers

  • Be aware of the power used by each light and plugging into each channel.
  • These 48 channels are only capable of 2400 Watts Total of power per channel.
  • "share " the lights between the 4 dimmers groups: 1-12, 13-24, 25-36 and 37-48
  • The dimmers are the 4 panels in the props bay workshop, with a remotely controlled master switch accessible beside the power outlets in the studio,

If the whole dimmer is off, the master circuit breaker has tripped.

It can be reset by the studio technician after the cause of the fault is fixed.
