1.2.A - Collecting Equipment

1. Equipment may be collected by one member of a production group. However, it is strongly recommended that the full crew collect it wherever possible, and that all equipment is checked before proceeding to the shooting location. You should also ensure that all the specified equipment in kits or boxes is present before leaving the MCASI Store.

2. There must be one signatory for each loan, who is required to present their Student ID Card at the time of collecting equipment; this person MUST be the allocated person on the EQUIPMENT BOOKING PROCESS. This person will be responsible for the safe return of all the equipment borrowed. It is understood, however, that the signatory is accepting responsibility for the equipment on behalf of their group, and that individual group members are responsible for the correct operation and care (including packing and transport) of equipment associated with their role in the production.

COLLECTING EQUIPMENT

  • To collect booked equipment, the student who has been allocated on the Booking Form for collection, MUST present their Student ID Card to the MCASI Store.

  • Without your Student ID Card, you will not be permitted to collect equipment.

  • It is NOT permitted to collect equipment on behalf of someone else; the MCASI Store will not release any equipment.

  • In unforeseen circumstances, another group member can collect booked equipment, only if they have their Student ID Card and if the Producer of the group has notified the MCASI Store of the circumstances.

  • If you are unable to collect your booking at the agreed scheduled time, you are obligated to notify the MCASI Store that you will be late.

  • If you are late collecting your booked equipment and have not notified the MCASI Store, you are still required to return the equipment as original scheduled.
