HAL - Isilon - Setting Up an Assignment Folder
Are you the Producer?
Before starting this process, are you the assigned producer? Do you have the student IDs of your group members?
If you are unsure talk to your tutor.
Log into Oasis | |
Click the 'My Studies' tab. | |
On the left side is a set of link buttons.Locate and click the HAL button. | |
The HAL home page lists the MCASI production units you are enrolled in. | |
If you are the assigned producer, click the unit you are creating an assignment folder for. | |
The next window will show you what assignments are available for the unit you have selected. | |
Locate the Assignment for which you are creating a folder.Click the link. | |
If you are the producer, click 'Yes, Create the group'.If you are not the producer, click 'No' | |
Start typing the student ID of one of your group members (you can also search by name).When you have located the correct person, click the 'Add' button. | |
If you have added the wrong person, click 'Remove' to take them off the list.Once you have added all the appropriate group members, click 'Add Members'. | |
Before clicking 'Confirm', double check:
If this information is correct, click 'Confirm'.Apply some patience and wait for the confirmation window before you do anything else. | |
Wait for the confirmation window.It will list the changes. An email will also be sent out to all the members you have added.Click 'Home' | |
The Home window will now also show you which assignment groups you have been added to.If, as a producer, you want to add members to an already established group, click the 'Add Members' button in the Members section of the assignment you want to modify. | |
Go through the process again.If you need to add members in the future, log in to HAL again and repeat the process.If you are finished, log out of HAL | |
LOG OUT! If you are currently on a MCASI Edit Station, you must LOG OUT, wait at least 10 MINUTES and then LOG IN again to the workstation for the MCASI Project Group changes to take effect. | |
Remove Group Members If you need to remove members, please confer with your tutor, and they can contact a post-production specialist to assist with this. | |
