PrP - Basic Editing - Adjusting the Video

To adjust the video image, double-click it in the timeline to open it in the Source panel. Click the Effect Controls tab.

This will give you access to sliders that will allow you to manipulate the Position, Scale, Rotation, and the Anchor Point of the video.

To adjust the horizontal placement of the video in the frame, move the cursor over the number situated to right of the 'Position' icon. Notice how the cursor changes to a double-arrow/hand icon.

Click and hold on the number, and drag to increase/decrease the value, to move the clip Right or Left in the frame.

The next number will adjust vertical placement.

You can also select it and type an exact numerical number.

This will also work for your Text Item if you need to adjust its placement in the frame.

OR

In the Effect Controls tab, click on the 'fx Motion' icon (this is the small square to the left of "motion").

Selecting the "fx" will toggle between seeing the adjustments and seeing it without the adjustments.

This will apply an adjustment frame with handles to the clip in the Program Panel.

Use the cursor to drag the clip around to position it, and drag the handles to adjust the size.
