PrP - Workspace - Project Panel Tabs Explained

PROJECT: allows you to quickly add, organise and browse files connected to your project. This is the default tab.

Notice that the Project Panel lists the name that you gave the project when you saved it.

There is also a Search bar to quickly search for files and an Icon to make a Search Bin (see below)

Right-click in the Project Panel to create:

New Bin
A folder in which you can keep media files. Creating different bins for different scenes or interviews is a good way to start organising your project.

New Search Bin
In Search Bins you can set up metadata searching keywords, so that when you search for items in the Project Panel, you can associate a Search Bin with your search query. The search results stay up to date with items that meet the search criteria.

New Item:

1) Sequence

2) Title

3) Bars and Tone

4) Black Video

5) Universal Counting Leader

...and more

MEDIA BROWSER: Search and browse through your directories to locate source media files.

This is an orderly and efficient way of bringing source media into your project, particularly when combined with a sturdy Datawrangling process.

The process of importing media using the Media Browser is explained here.

INFO: Provide information (metadata, codec, frame rate etc.) on all source media clips, sequences and other files.

EFFECTS: Use the drop-down triangles to access all PrP's Video and Audio Effects.

Drag-and-drop the effect to media in the timeline, or double-click to be apply to the clip currently open in Source Monitor or Program.

Clicking a clip thumbnail in the Markers panel moves the playhead to the location of the corresponding marker.
