Consolidation

The process of consolidating media and projects allows for easy archiving of finished projects.

This process can also assist in the media management of a large project when you have many editors working on multiple stories.

With the finished Premiere Pro project open, select the final sequence from the project window

Go to File > Project Manager...

Project Manager window

If you have more than one sequence in your project you will see them all here and can choose to select just the final sequence, or multiple sequences

You can choose to collect all the files and move them to a new location

Collect Files and Copy to New Location

This process is fine if space is not an issue and the project has been kept in a clean and tidy state - because of good media management practices (wink)

Or you can Consolidate just your final sequence, leaving the unused media out of the new project

Consolidate and Transcode
