PrP - External Storage - Setting Project Settings/Scratch Disks

Has your drive been formatted?

Before you start this process ensure that the external drive has been formatted correctly.

  1. Open a project in Premiere Pro (PrP)

  2. In the 'New Project' window, give the project a name.

  3. Next, click the 'Browse' button next to the Location drop-down.

  4. In the 'Please Select Destination...' window navigate to the PrP Folder you created in an earlier step.

  5. Ensure the PrP folder is selected.

  6. Click 'Choose'

  7. Back in the 'New Project' Window, in the 'Scratch Disks' tab, ensure that ALL items are set to 'Same as Project' and that the folder path is the same as the 'Location' box.

  8. Click 'OK'
