PrP - Ingest Smart Phone Media
Below is the process for moving media from your smart device to the Isilon server | |
| In the Applications folder, locate and start up the application 'Image Capture' |
Spotlight Search To quickly find anything on the Mac OS, click the (or click Cmd + Spacebar) to bring up the Spotlight Search window.
Type what you are searching for in here and it will show you the top hits.

| Connect your smart device to the iMac |
| If the 'Photos' application launches, turn it off. Either by clicking the red button, or by clicking Cmd + Q on the keyboard. |
Turn of Photos To turn of the automatic start up feature for 'Photos' when attaching a smart device, follow these instructions. | |
| In the 'Image Capture' application window, locate and select the media you want to import (you can select multiple times by holding down the Cmd button when you select items). |
| Click the 'Import To:' drop-down menu |
| Select 'Other' |
| Navigate to the server, your Isilon unit folder, find the Media Folder, create a 'New Folder' for your media, select this as your import folder. Click 'Choose' |
| Click 'Import' |
| Wait for the Import process to finish. |

Import into PRP Now that the media has been imported to the server, you can import it into Premiere Pro and edit it together as usual. | |
