  1. Connect your Android phone to MAC using appropriate cable.

Turn your phone on and unlock it (the PC can’t find the device if it’s locked).

  1. Go to your device and click on the access pop-up to change the transfer option to ‘Transfer Files (MTP)’ (or a similar sounding option).

  1. On the MAC, type ‘Android File Transfer’ into the search box on the taskbar and open it.

  1. If your phone is correctly connected, a window with all your files should pop-up.

  2. To find your footage navigate to DCIM and then to Camera.

The content may take a while to load (particularly if you have a lot of media on your phone). Be patient

  1. Find your footage, hold CMD ⌘ to select multiple files and choose all of the files you wish to transfer.

Unfortunately, there will be no preview of the files so you might want to check the file names on the phone beforehand.

  1. Copy and paste the files into your assignment folder within MCASI_Server.
