Editing and Post- Production

 A.   Data-wrangling and Importing Media

Students enrolled in Major Project Pre-Prodcution/Production as part of a Screen Arts major or minor will use MAC base Adobe Premiere Pro for editing and post-production.

Media is data-wrangled from the SxS Memory Card into an appropriate folder structure on the MCASI Isilon Server, and subsequently imported into Premiere through the Project Browser Panel. Remember, what ever Recording Medium used, to ingest, you will need to borrow the appropriate Storage Reader for that Medium from the MCASI Store.

Each step in the process is detailed in the Adobe Premiere Pro Section.

Remember to return your Storage Reader and SxS Card(s) to the MCASI Store once you have completed ingesting material so that they can be used for shooting by other students.

B.  Editing Settings

Note that while all editing is carried out on Adobe Premiere Pro, there are three settings, depending on which units you are enrolled in.
