FD - Add/Remove Time-of-Day Timecode from Source Material

ADD TIME-OF-DAY TIMECODE

This section takes you through the process for adding Time-of-Day Timecode (TDTC) on the media to simplify referencing it while editing.

It is different from adding Run Timecode, which is to be added on preview exports to enable media references in feedback from producers.

Select the Effects tab (next to the Project Panel)

Type Timecode (or a portion of it) in the search box to reveal the effect in the panel

Or navigate to its location:

Video Effects > Video > Timecode

Drag and drop the effect onto the clip you want to add Timecode to

Double click the video from the timeline to open in the Source Panel

Select the Effect Controls tab

The Timecode effect is now available for manipulation

This is the same process for any Effect you apply to vision or audio from the timeline

To remove the Timecode effect:

Simply select the fx button to the right of the effect name

Toggling the fx button on and off will turn the effect on and off from the timeline

Alternatively you can select the name of the effect and hit the delete button on your keyboard if you want it removed for good

This is the same process for any Effect you apply to vision or audio from the timeline
