FD - After Effects - Lower Thirds/Supers

Double click on the PEEL_LOWER_TEMPLATE_2018 file from the LOWER THIRDS folder

This will open up an After Effects project

In the Project window you have 2 compositions (these are effectively your sequence within After Effects)

LOWER THIRD - This composition contains the animation and is the file you will Render (Export)

PRE-COMPOSE - LT - This composition contains the text elements that you will edit each time

In the timeline (bottom part of your screen) select the PRE-COMPOSE - LT tab

Inside this tab you will find the four elements of the composition (2 x shape files and 2 x text files)

Select one of the text files (the text on screen will now have red boxes around it, indicating that it is active)

Select the text button (top left of screen)

Select inside the text box

Select (command+a) - this will select everything within the box

Type your new name

Repeat the process for the second text file

Once you have all the text details correct - select the LOWER THIRD tab (bottom left of screen)

Go to the top menu:

Composition > Add to Render Queue

(Shortcut = control+commmand+m)

This will open up the Render Queue

Select Lossless with Alpha from the Output Module drop down menu

Select Not yet specified blue text to choose your output location

Name the file according to the individual who's name is on the lower third

Save the file to the appropriate location (see image)

You can now import this file into your Premiere project

When you Quit After Effects - DO NOT SAVE! This will ensure the template always stays the same, therefore removing any confusion for the next user. Thank you!
