PrP - Exporting - Checking Export Settings 2.0

It is crucial to check your exported file to ensure the settings match the required delivery settings.

Below is a process on how to check your exported file, as well as an overview of the Curtin Screen Arts Delivery settings.

Locate the file you have exported and want to check.

 

Right-click on the file.

Select 'Open with' > 'QuickTime Player'

QuickTime will open the file.

 

Press ‘command ⌘’ + 'i' on your keyboard to open the Inspector window.

OR

Go to the top panel of QuickTime player. Click ‘Window’ and then ‘Show Movie Inspector’.

 

 

The Inspector window contains different fields of information.

  • General

  • Video Details

  • Audio Details

  • Additional Tracks

Check the specs in the Inspector window correlate with the Curtin MCASI Server Delivery settings listed below.

 

 

 

These are the Curtin Screen Arts Assessment delivery settings:

Format:

AVC Coding, 1920 x 1080

AAC, 48000 Hz, Stereo (L R)

 

FPS: 25

Data Rate: 25 Mbit/s

These are the Curtin Screen Arts Razor delivery settings:

Format:

Apple Pro Res 422 (HQ), 1920 x 1080

AAC, 48000 Hz, Stereo (L R)

FPS: 25

Data Rate: 35 Mbit/s (or higher depending on quality of source material)
