PrP - Working with Audio - Adjusting the Audio

To adjust the audio levels, first double click on the audio track(s) in the Timeline.

This will open the audio track in the Source panel.

Open the Effect Controls tab and manipulate the Level slider under the Volume setting.

NB: If you do not want to keyframe (animate), be sure to deselect the Toggle Animation icon (the stopwatch to the left of the function) which by default is activated (blue).

We will learn more about keyframing and animating in the next chapter.

To manipulate the audio levels within the audio track itself, first choose the pen tool from the toolbar.

Next, click on the timeline to make adjustable points. These can be dragged up/down to adjust the levels on the audio track itself. The more points you add, the more accurately you can manipulate the audio track.
